Pull for New Moon in Gemini – Part II
The intentions that I set forth before drawing my cards for the New Moon in Gemini were, to get out of my way, clear a path for a new beginning, revisit old projects, specifically this BLOG and writing, and actually complete something I thought I never would.
The query for New Moon in Gemini –
- What messages is the universe sending to me? – Queen of Wands
- How can I respond to these messages? – Queen of Cups
- What will I gain from this new information? VIII of Swords – reversed
VIII of swords – reversed
What do I see when I look at this card? A woman blindfolded and bound, seven swords behind her and one in front of her. She has one foot touching land and one foot touching water. At first glance, she might appear to be fearful and weak but with further examination, you can see her mouth is turned ever so slightly upward on the ends and she appears to be bound by internal thoughts rather than the physical ties that are external. Her fate is to be determined by her decisions and not the ties that bind her.
Whereas the upright VIII of Swords depicts a feeling of being trapped and victimized, feeling powerless because, in your mind, there are thoughts of not being able to change the situation; the VIIII of Swords reversed symbolizes maturity and self-acceptance with recognition of one’s own power and responsibility – ESPECIALLY after a long struggle of doubt. It means that one is capable of making conscious decisions because they are confident in who they are. It is time to FREE oneself from the past.
Through the reversed VIII of Swords in combination with the Queen of Cups and the Queen of Wands, I will receive gifts from the Universe in releasing me from negative thoughts, providing me clarity from past struggles, and freedom from the shame and doubt I have been carrying most of my life that has been holding me down and unable to break the cycle I was in.
As I continue to move through the shift that is occurring within me and adhere to the messages the Universe is sending to me to be courageous, independent, determined, confident, and BOLD (Queen of Wands), and calls for me to RESPOND (Queen of Cups) with love and support for self and others through a lens of understanding and kindness resulting in a connection to core, spirit, and voice, from self to those I encounter along the way. By practicing boldness and responding with love and support the removal of the blindfold and bindings slip away and ALLOW me to see things more clearly and overcome negative thought patterns that held me in its grip for far too long. I am FREE, returning home to the essence of me.

I wish I was homeward bound
Home, where my thought’s escapin’
Home, where my music’s playin’
Home, where my love lies waitin’ silently for me
Silently for me
